Naughty Dog and Sony released the official story trailer for The Last of Us Part II. This story trailer provides a look into the next chapter of Ellie and Joel’s story.
Part II is set five years after the events of the first game. The player’s takes the role of a grown-up 19-year-old Ellie, who comes into conflict with a mysterious Christian cult in a post-apocalyptic United States.
Ellie and Joel have settled down in Jackson, Wyoming in a thriving peaceful and stable community of survivors. When violence disrupts the peace, Ellie embarks on a journey to carry out justice and find closure. She hunts those responsible one by one and confronted with the devastating physical and emotional repercussions of her actions.
After an indefinite delay with the original release date, mark your calendars fans: The Last of Us Part II will be coming to PS4 on June 19, 2020.
Neil Druckmann, the director of The Last of Us Part II, also mentioned digital preorders have returned to the PlayStation store if you were looking for a digital version. Physical copies has been available for preorders at a different number of retailers.
