With the upcoming release of the next generation PS5, Sony shares a first look and information on the new PS5 controller: the DualSense controller.
Sony took a large variety of hand sizes from a wide range of gamers to create the controller’s more comfortable feel and great ergonomics. With its built-in array of microphones, the DualSense allows players to chat with friends or other players without the use of a headset.
The DualSense controller’s haptic feedback feature enables a variety of powerful sensations you’ll feel when you play. For example the slow grittiness of driving a car through the mud. Adaptive triggers are incorporated into the L2 and R2 buttons so players can truly feel the tension of your actions; like when drawing a bow to shoot an arrow.
“Create” button feature was added in place of the “Share” button. This is Sony’s new way for players to create content for themselves to share with friends and the world. Sony will share more information about the “Create” button and it’s features at a later time.
Traditionally Sony used a single color for their controllers. For the PS5, they have decided to use a two-toned design. Other PS enthusiasts took their takes on the new DualSense controller and the results are beautiful and impressive.
This is only the tip of the iceberg for Sony as gamers wait for more information about the PS5 and its look. Will it resemble a previous system? Will it be a looker or an eyesore? Will it follow Sony’s two-toned theme? Only time will tell. For more information check out the original post on the PlayStation Blog.
