BlizzCon 2021 Online delivers fans of the timeless classic Blizzard game Diablo II an announcement of a remaster in Diablo II Resurrected. The remaster is expected to be released some time in 2021, but no official release date.

In Resurrected, Diablo II and it’s expansion, Diablo II: Lord of Destruction, gets a 3D visual overhaul from the days of 2D. Running in 4K (2140p) and re-recorded audio in 7.1 surround.

Also the strength of Diablo’s minions will get stronger when you and up to 7 other players can play in an 8 player co-op over Blizzard‘s free gaming online service on Battle.net.


Blizzard has also implemented a cross-progression feature. This allows the player retain their progress and have access to their characters wherever gaming platform they decide to play Diablo II: Resurrected.


Blizzard is also will be opening a Technical Alpha test for the game some time in the future (no official date yet). To try your hand to get into the technical test, click here, sign in with your Blizzard account, and click on “Opt-In“. Signing up does not guarantee you a spot in the test, but you have your name on a list they will select from. Good luck if you signed up.
